About the Brand
OYU Botanica is high-performance skincare where ancestral Mongolian botanical wisdom meets modern dermatological science. I grew up in Mongolia surrounded by generations of plant knowledge, then spent nearly two decades in finance, strategy, and entrepreneurship in California. The brand was born from a hard-won lesson: even "natural" ingredients can harm you if they aren't handled correctly.
After a reaction to citrus essential oils, I went back to my grandmother's botanical wisdom, taught myself formulation, sourcing, and compliance, and earned a degree in Organic Skincare Formulation from Formula Botanica. Every formula is made for sensitive, reactive skin: EWG Verified, dermatologist-tested, Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free, vegan (except our tallow bar), and free of 2,700+ questionable ingredients.
Our line includes the Sensitive Skin Booster Serum, Bakuchiol Firming Serum, Verde Calm Creme, and a Tallow Lotion Bar made with consciously sourced grass-fed Mongolian tallow, plus a men's collection.

A Note from the Founder
Where I come from, skincare was never a shelf of products - it was my grandmother's hands & the plants she trusted. I never planned to build a beauty brand; I spent almost twenty years in finance. But when my own skin reacted badly to something labeled "natural," I realized how carelessly that word gets used, & how few options there are for people whose skin reacts to everything.
Building this has not been a straight line - I lost my Amazon visibility overnight & once lost five years of customer reviews when my store was deleted - but each obstacle pushed me toward more integrity & more transparency about what we put in a bottle.
OYU Botanica is my answer: formulas gentle enough for reactive skin, grounded in science, & honest about every ingredient.
